Online example of a 'magazine style' digital photo album designed for Dominic Cuda. The layouts ran a consistent sliver grey theme which complemented the extensive use of metallic paper within this photo album. Most of the album designs featured in this example are deceivingly simple in layout, inter-spaced with design elements to complement the photographer's choice of location. The designs feature are adaptable so that they can be pritned up as digital photo albums or photo books.
In this example we have included a compilation of designs from various digital albums that were designed for a vertical format. Just as with the previous example, some of the images have been retouched an manipulated. Because this example is a compilation of many digital albums there more graphic elements visible. Normally, if design elements are incorporated they are used sparingly on feature layouts or cover pages, or not at all unless requested by the client. The best design strategy is to keep the the layouts to a minimalist look. Online examples of photo manipulation. Some of the images featured have had many hours of work which includes digital photo manipulation to create lighting effects, complex background manipulation and background replacements, enhanced lighting and the introduction of new compositional elements to create photo composites. Examples also include Fall / Autumn and Winter wedding photography themes. Many of the resulting photos have been digitally printed back to chemically processed 'metallic' paper, hence their contrasty appearance. Also featured are examples of black and white images which have been colorised.
